A Fake Imitation

Image
A Fake Imitation  By Liz King        These fake flowers may look good, but unlike the real thing, they lack life. They lack fragrance. They don’t have any purpose but to look good.       They look nice and they look beautiful, they look put together but they are not alive. They don’t have living water running through them. They lack the beauty of life. They will never be anything more than a piece of decor collecting dust.  When it comes to knowing Jesus and being a Christian, many claim to be the real thing. They look good. They look like the real thing but they have hardened stems of plastic. Their petals are of cloth and are not sensitive to the environment and surroundings they are in. The only purpose they serve is to look good. The only use they have is to look good and take up space without any true life or value.      My true creation is filled with life. It smells of life and its fragrance is pleasing to those...

Art Thou Friend or Art Thou Foe

Art Thou Friend or Art Thou Foe By Liz King        I remember in old stories and in old movies, someone would approach someone and they would ask the question, “Art thou friend or art thou foe?”.  What if we switched this question towards our relationship with God? Are we a friend or are we a foe? What about the world? Are we a friend to the world or are we a foe? I don’t mean to the people, I mean to the sins of the world? The explanation of the world is In 1 John 2:15-17  New Living Translation.  Do Not Love This World 15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.        In James 4:4 it says to be a friend of the world is to be an enemy, in...

Don’t Eat The Corrupt Bread

Don’t Eat The Corrupt Bread By Liz King Early this morning I was in prayer in my bed just talking to God and this picture popped in my head. I tried to recreate it with AI the best I could. Then this came to me. Jesus is the bread of life. In him we are spiritually fed. He is full of wonder ( thus why I guess I saw wonder bread). He is pure and full of truth, but many churches and people are teaching and believing a false Jesus, a corrupted version, thus the mold. Many have made Jesus to be this weak, hyper grace Jesus. A Jesus that affirms our flesh and goes against everything he taught. A Jesus that goes against himself and his teaching, a Jesus who was just a man, a Jesus that is ok with our sin and won’t hold you accountable and will just look past it, a Jesus that doesn’t require repentance but acceptance an affirmation, a Jesus who allows you to mix the practices of witchcraft and other religions with him. A Jesus who is just focused on prosperity, wealth, and living your b...

The Path

Image
The Path By Liz King Copyright 2025 As I was talking with the Lord one day, I began to tell him of my desire to know him more, hear his voice more clearly, and to understand the depths of his heart.  The Lord then smiled lovingly at me and told me that was his desire for me too. the Lord had me stop. Jesus then took me to the woods and had me stop.   He asked me, "What do you see?”  “Nothing”, I replied.  He bade me look again saying, “Look closer my child and tell me what you see.”  I stared for a bit in the woods before me and then replied, “All I see is a clearing, maybe a possible path. The Lord replied, “Very good my child.” I stared at the path that was hard to see and I could barely make out and I said, “No one can see the path, I can barely see the path.”  “No one has traveled this path.  This is your path I made just for you.  It is for you to walk.”, Jesus said.  “How is this supposed to help me get to know you more?” I asked....
