Dependent on the Word

Image
Dependent on the Word By Liz King   The word was spoken before the world. Genesis 1.    Before the world, was the Word. John 1:1. We were created from the word.    Meaning we are dependent on the word.    The world was not created before the Word.    We must put the word before the world. If we put the world before the word we will be destroyed because it was not what brought us into being and gives life.    It means our survival depends on the word. The word of God is pivotal to our lives because His word is why we exist and have being. We were made from him which means we are dependent on him. When we separate ourselves from the word and follow the world, we have severed everything that brings truth and life to us. This is why society continues to fall into lies, confusion, anger, hate, sin, and destruction. When we separate ourselves from the one who gave us life we only find death and society crumbles.    In order to t...

The Weapon of the Enemy

Image
Thoughts from Today By Liz King The weapon of the enemy is to make you not believe they are make believe and exist or to make you believe they are not a threat or is over exaggerated by those who believe.  The other attack of the enemy is to make you think the good guy is more of attack then the enemy. Jesus warned us that our battle was not against flesh and blood but against principalities.  Demons influence people. Many believers walk around in disbelief of the spiritual realm and in bondage. If we are naive to the enemy we are not a threat to the enemy and easily affected by it.  Western Christians do not know how to fight in the spiritual realm and we are commanded too. Things that affect us and influence us can have a spiritual root.  We cannot walk blindly at the schemes of the devil. His job is to make evil look good, seductive, desirable, powerful, or non-threatening. Satan poses as an angel of light. We as Christians need to become wiser and have bet...

The King’s Daughter Poem

The King’s Daughter   By Liz King The King’s Daughter  By Liz King There once was a little girl, a daughter of a king who went her own way to the world unseen. She started out, innocent and blissfully unaware until darkness came and began to en snare.  It threw off her crown and tore up her dress and it left the princess a blubbering mess. She became familiar with pain, hurt, and despair making her feel like no one was there. The fear of abandonment soon would creep in she lived in her shame carrying more than she could bear. She forgot who she was, her worth and position. Leading her seeking for the wrong recognition  She believed in the things the lies said she was not  and forgot who her father was Leaving her lost. She took off her crown and she set it aside, Her lack of self worth made her feel dead inside. “I am not worthy!”, she muttered and moaned, “I am cursed to live this sad life alone.”  She set down her robes and wondered away thinking surely m...

God's Love For You

Image
God’s Love For You By Liz King God’s love is hard to understand in our limited and fragile human minds.  Our experiences of love define our understanding and reality of what love is. Our experience with human love affects how we accept, understand, interpret, and receive God’s love. This can be difficult to grasp when your experience with love has been defined by abuse.  The love of a parent that was beatings, some could have had the experience of love met with beatings and abuse done in Jesus name, or a controlled, limited love with strings attached done by a narcissist who was supposed to love and cherish you.  Many have used fear, judgment, and manipulation behind a mask of love leaving one broken, defeated, feeling unlovable and worthless.  Some struggled trying to win the love of those who hurt us. Some live in constant fear of losing one’s love or never allowing anyone in to let them be loved.  They don’t understand how to be loved or feel that lo...
