Yo, Who’s Doin It?

Yo, Who’s Doin It? By Liz King I’ll never forget the Sunday after church when my life changed for the better. It was 1992. In a time of poofy sleeves, blue Jean skirts, big bangs, and bomber jackets.  Life seemed simpler then. The only thing we questioned was if Zach and Kelly would be forever or would Screech ever win the affections of Lisa in Saved by the Bell. I lived in a very controlled religious environment where the only music I really knew was that of Sandy Patti, The Gathers, and Rich Mullins.  While in the parking lot after church, one of my friends was playing a cassette tape in his mom’s car. We need to make more money, have the coolest toys, watch the newest shows and movies, read our favorite books.  We are also surrounded by the trials and traumas of life.  I have to do this, I have to survive that.  How will I pay my bill?  Many are even dealing with divorce, rape, debt, abuse, being manipulated, molestation, poverty, war, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and mental illness.  The list really has no end.  So, in a world and life that fights for our attention, what are we to do?  We need to change our position and our positioning. We in a world focused on so many things we need to realize the importance of position.  It is not the ...
