Am I Mocking God? By Liz King I know this is an interesting subject but it has been one that has been on my heart for a while. I was reading Galatians 6:7 and it says, “Be not deceived, God is not mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap.” Growing up I always thought, “I don’t mock God!” because I always thought mocking was making fun of someone or being sarcastic of them. I grew up in a very southern Baptist conservative church where it was always about instilling human fear into the souls of its attendees. As I have gotten older, I am learning what the fear of God truly is. In truth we are to fear the judgment of God in His truth against our sin, but we are to be in fear of who God is in His Holiness too. Let me explain in my own way.
